03102500 LITTLE SHENANGO RIVER AT GREENVILLE, PA
LOCATION - Lat 41°25'19", long 80°22'35" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Mercer County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05030102, on left bank 1,700 ft downstream from Williamson Crossing bridge, 1 mi northeast of Greenville, and 2.0 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 104 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

WSP 743: Drainage area. WSP 1305: 1914, 1922-23, 1926-29. WSP 1335: 1923 (m).

Revisions: The datum of gage was erroneously reported as 953.46 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 prior to January 16, 2024.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1913 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1305.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 952.4 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.  Prior to Nov. 4, 1915, non-recording gage; Nov. 4, 1915, to Sept. 30, 1918, water-stage recorder; Nov. 7, 1919, to Aug. 31, 1923, and Nov. 19, 1925, to June 20, 1934, non-recording gage at site 1 mi downstream at datum 8.96 ft lower. Prior to January 16, 2024, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 953.46 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.  Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS -

Records are good with the exception of estimated discharge which is considered poor.

WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 2002 to current year.
COOPERATION - Water-quality samples were collected as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Water-Quality Network (WQN) with cooperation from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
REMARKS - As of October 2013, results from discrete water quality samples collected at this site are available through the U.S. Geological Survey National Water Information System web interface on the "Water Quality for the Nation" webpage. Analyses for pH, water temperature, specific conductance, and dissolved oxygen were performed on site. All other sample analyses were performed at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection laboratory in Harrisburg, Pa. Occasionally, values for filtered parameters may exceed values for the corresponding unfiltered parameter. These results are within the limits of analytical precision and methods.
