LOCATION - Lat 40°53'02", long 80°14'02" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Lawrence County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05030105,  
DRAINAGE AREA - 398 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 743: Drainage area. WSP 1305: 1914-18, 1920-22, 1923-24 (M), 1925-28, 1930. WSP 1385: 1932, 1935, 1936 (M), 1937-39. WSP 1625: 1955.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1911 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1305.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 832.06 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (USGS benchmark). Jan. 1, 1912 to Sept. 30, 1922, non-recording gage at site 1.5 mi downstream at datum 13.77 ft lower and Oct. 1, 1922 to Sept. 30, 1940, non-recording gage at site 2 mi downstream at datum 18.92 ft lower. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS -

Some regulation since May 1969 by Lake Arthur (station 03106280) 13 mi upstream. Records for water year are good except those for estimated discharges, which are poor.

WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 2002 to current year.
COOPERATION - Water-quality samples were collected as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Water-Quality Network (WQN) with cooperation from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
REMARKS - As of October 2013, results from discrete water quality samples collected at this site are available through the U.S. Geological Survey National Water Information System web interface on the "Water Quality for the Nation" webpage. Analyses for pH, water temperature, specific conductance, and dissolved oxygen were performed on site. Water quality sample analyses were performed at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection laboratory in Harrisburg, Pa. Occasionally, values for filtered parameters may exceed values for the corresponding unfiltered parameter. These results are within the limits of analytical precision and methods.
