LOCATION - Lat 40°11'36", long 80°44'04" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Jefferson County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05030106, on the right bank 475 ft downstream from bridge on St. Rt. 150, and 2.1 mi east of Dillonvale, 2.3 mi downstream from Jug Run, and 2.6 mi upstream from Little Short Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 123 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1003: 1942-43. WSP 1907: Drainage area. WDR-OH-82-1: 1981.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1941 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 673.54 ft (NAVD 1988). Prior to February 2015, datum was 674.10 ft (NGVD 1929) (State of Ohio benchmark). Prior to Oct. 21, 1982, at datum 1.00 ft higher; prior to Oct. 21, 1941, nonrecording gage at same site at 676.1 ft datum.
REMARKS - Discharge records from Oct. 01, 2014 to Nov 3, 2015 are fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Nov 4, 2015 to Apr 24, 2016; discharge records are fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Apr 25, 2016 to Oct. 11, 2016; discharge records are poor. 2017 WY: Oct. 11, 2016 to Nov. 6, 2017 discharge records are poor except of the period of Mar. 27, 2017 to May 22, 2017, which are fair. Nov. 7, 2017 to Oct. 17, 2018; discharge records are fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor.  Record quality ratings will not be included in the water-year summary for approved records newer than 09/30/2019.
