DRAINAGE AREA - 508 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1907: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1937 to current year. Prior to April 1938 monthly discharge only, published in WSP 1305.
GAGE -

Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 911.40 (NAVD 1988), prior to Oct. 28, 2019 datum was 915.06 ft (NAVD 1988); prior to October, 2010, datum was 916.00 ft (1912 adjustment). Prior to Aug. 19, 1944, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.

REMARKS - 2018 WY:  Octobe 23, 2017 to April 17, 2018; Records are poor.  April 17, 2018 to Nov. 14, 2018; Records are fair.  2017WY; Records fair except estimated record , which is poor.  2016WY; Records fair except estimated record, which is poor. Oct 1 to Dec 1, 2014; records good, Dec 19, 2014 to Apr 23, 2015; records poor and Apr 24 to Oct 20, 2015; records fair. Some water diverted through the Portage Lakes into the Ohio Canal at Long Lake, 28 mi and 3 mi south of Akron. Part of the diverted water flows through the Ohio Canal into the Cuyahoga River basin. Flow effected by industrial plants upstream from station and supplemented at times by diversion from reservoir, capacity, 6,500 acre-ft, since 1939. Water-quality data formerly collected at this site. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers satellite telemeter at station.
