LOCATION - Lat 40°16'13", long 81°17'26" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Harrison County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05040001, on left bank at downstream side of county highway bridge at Tippecanoe, 1/2 mile downstream from Brushy Fork, 3 3/4 miles upstream from Weaver Run, 6 miles upstream from Laurel Creek, and 9 miles south of Dennison, Ohio.
DRAINAGE AREA - 282 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1907: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous discharge gage, October 1938 to September 1991, October 2014 to current year; recording crest stage gage, October 1991 to Sept. 30, 2007 (station discontinued). Prior to January 1939 monthly discharge only, published in WSP 1305.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 848.24 ft (NAVD 1988). Datum of gage was 849.00 ft (1912 adjustment). Flow regulated by Clendening Lake on Brushy Fork, 1.9 mi upstream, and Piedmont Lake, 16 mi upstream. Water quality data collected at this site 1965 to 1977. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - Flow is regulated by two upstream reservoirs. Record quality ratings may not be included in the water-year summary for approved records newer than 09/30/2018.
