LOCATION - Lat 40°52'52", long 82°39'35" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Richland County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05040002, on left bank upstream from the Main Street bridge in downtown Shelby.
DRAINAGE AREA - 28 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 2012 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gages. Datum of gage is 1065.30 ft (NAVD 1988).
REMARKS -

Records fair for 2014, except for estimated records, which are poor. Oct. 1, 2014 to Mar. 18, 2015: records fair, except for estimated records, which are poor. Mar. 19, 2015 to July 16, 2015: records good. July 17, 2015 to June 22, 2016: records fair, except for estimated records, which are poor. June 22, 2016 to Dec. 2, 2016: water discharge records good. Dec. 2, 2016 to Oct. 31, 2017: water discharge records good. Oct. 31, 2017 to Dec. 6, 2018: discharge records good.

Some diversion from the Black Fork Mohican River into Reservoir #2 during specified months. Flow diverted from river by City of Shelby, upstream from station, for municipal water supply and returned to Black Fork Mohican River downstream from station. Average diversions in ft³/s for the following water years are in the table below:
