LOCATION - Lat 38°52'25", long 82°21'21" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Gallia County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05090101, on left bank downstream side of State Highway 588 at Adamsville, Ohio.
DRAINAGE AREA - 585 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 873: 1916-18, 1920, 1922, 1924, 1926-27, 1931, 1933, 1935(M). WSP 1908: Drainage area. WSP 2108: 1968-70(M). OH-97-1: 1992-95 (datum).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 1915 to December 1935, October 1938 to September 1985, October 1991 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 569.33 ft (NAVD 1988). Prior to February 2015 datum was 570.04 ft (NGVD 1929). Prior to June 13, 1940, non-recording gage, June 13, 1940 to October 27, 1970 water-stage recorder 480 ft upstream at same (NGVD 1929) datum, July 8, 1984 to October 21, 1997, water-stage recorder 1.7 mi downstream at datum 567.74 ft (NGVD 1929).
REMARKS -

Records fair for 2014, except for estimated records, which are poor. Oct. 1, 2014 to Dec. 8, 2015: records fair, except for estimated records, which are poor. Dec. 9, 2015 to Feb. 18, 2016: discharge records fair except for estimated records, which are poor. Feb. 19, 2016 to June 26, 2017: discharge records fair except for estimated records, which are poor. June 26, 2016 to Oct. 11, 2017: discharge records fair.  For the period Oct. 12, 2017 to Apr. 17, 2018 discharge records poor.  For the period Apr. 18, 2018 to Nov. 14, 2018, discharge records good.  Water-quality and sediment data formerly collected at this site.
