LOCATION - Lat 40°21'18", long 83°04'02" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Delaware County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05060001, on left bank 500 ft upstream from Main Road bridge, 1,000 ft downstream from Delaware Dam, 1300 ft upstream from Norfolk and Western Railway bridge, and 4 mi north of Delaware.
DRAINAGE AREA - 393 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1923 to September 1934, April 1938 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1305.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and concrete control. Datum of gage is 877.67 ft (NAVD 1988) (levels by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). Prior to Oct. 1950, water-stage recorder at site 500 ft downstream at datum 876.7 ft (1912 adjustment); Oct. 1, 1950 - Sept. 30, 1964 at current site at datum 800.00 ft (1912 adjustment); Oct. 1, 1964 - Sept. 30, 1985 at datum 799.58 ft (NGVD 1929); Oct. 1, 1985 - Sept. 30, 2011 at datum 878.30 ft (NGVD 1929).
REMARKS - Records good for 2014. Estimated records are poor. Oct. 1, 2014 to Nov. 4, 2015: records fair. Nov. 4, 2015 to Mar. 17, 2016: discharge records good. Mar. 18, 2016 to May 9, 2016: discharge records fair. May 10, 2016 to Aug. 28, 2016: discharge records good. Aug. 29, 2016 to Nov. 16, 2016: discharge records fair. Nov. 17, 2016 to Jan. 17, 2017: discharge records fair. Jan. 18, 2017 to Oct. 16, 2017: discharge records good. Oct. 17, 2017 to Oct. 4, 2018: discharge records rated fair except for estimated record, which is poor. Record quality ratings will not be included in the water-year summary for approved records newer than 09/30/2019. Record quality is still being rated internally.
