LOCATION - Lat 39°12'44", long 82°51'50" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Ross County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05060002, on left bank at upstream side of Higby Road bridge, 0.8 mi downstream from Walnut Creek, 1.2 mi north of Higby, 3 mi northwest of Richmondale, and 5.0 mi upstream from Salt Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 5,131 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 893: 1937(M). WSP 1908: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1930 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1305.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 566.01 ft (NAVD 1988) (levels by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). Oct. 1964 to Sept. 2011 at same site at datum of 567.28 ft (NGVD 1929). Nov. 1930 to Sept. 1964 at same site at of 567.6 ft (1912 adjustment). Prior to Nov. 1930, nonrecording gage at same site (1912 adjustment).

Sept 15, 2014 to Dec 29, 2015: records fair except for estimated periods, which are poor. Dec. 29, 2015 to Feb. 3, 2016: discharge records rated fair, except for estimated discharges which are poor. Feb. 4, 2016 to Jun. 23, 2016: discharge records rated good. Jun. 24, 2016 to Dec. 21, 2016: discharge records rated fair except for estimated records, which are poor. Dec. 22, 2016 to Aug. 14, 2017, discharge records rated fair except for estimated discharges which are poor.  Aug. 15, 2017 to Oct. 24, 2017, discharge records rated poor.  For the period Oct. 25, 2017 to Jan. 29, 2018, discharge records rated poor.  For the period Jan. 30, 2018 to Apr. 4, 2018, discharge records rated fair.  For the period Apr. 5, 2018 to Jul. 26, 2018 discharge records rated poor.  For the period Jul. 27, 2018 to Oct. 18, 2018, discharge records rated good.  For the period Oct. 19, 2018 to Dec. 7, 2018, discharge records rated good.  For the period Dec. 8, 2018 to Dec. 12, 2018 discharge records rated fair.
