LOCATION - Lat 40°17'13", long 84°09'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Shelby County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05080001, on right bank, 50 ft upstream from North Street bridge in Sidney, and 0.5 mi downstream from Tawawa Creek.

DRAINAGE AREA - 541 mi².

REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1305: 1914(M), 1922(M). WSP 1908: Drainage area.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1914 to current year. Prior to October 1962, published as Miami River at Sidney.

GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 923.68 ft (NAVD 1988). Prior to Sept. 18, 1919, nonrecording gage at site 50 ft downstream at datum 926.46 ft (1912 adjustment); Sept. 18, 1919 - Aug. 1925, nonrecording gage at same site at datum 924.7 ft (1912 adjustment); Aug. 1925 - Sept. 30, 2013, at present site at same datum.

Prior to 1926, flow diverted from river into Miami and Erie Canal upstream from station; amount of diversion not published. Flow diverted from river by Sidney Water Treatment Plant upstream from station and returned as treated wastewater downstream from station.
