Flood flow regulated by five retarding basins upstream from station plus other reservoirs. See REMARKS for stations 03270500 and 03272000. Recharge to the City of Middletown wellfield is largely induced infiltration from the Great Miami River. Groundwater pumpage upstream from the station is returned to the river as treated wastewater 4.3 mi downstream from the station. Also, a small amount of water pumped from groundwater farther upstream is diverted to the Little Miami River watershed through the Montgomery County regional system. This pumpage could affect low flow.
