LOCATION - Lat 38°59'39", long 84°42'58" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Boone County, KY, Hydrologic Unit 05090203, on upstream right bank next to pump station, 0.65 miles downstream of South Fork Gunpowder Creek, 3.8 miles northwest of Union, and 14.2 miles upstream from the mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 36.6 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1999 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 683.06 feet above NAVD of 1988.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum Discharge, 6,590 ft³s, May 8, 2002, gage height, 8.22 ft.  Gage also reached 8.22 ft. during event on 02/24/2018 (corresponding discharge was 6090 cfs.).
