LOCATION - Lat 37°55'32", long 84°49'17" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Woodford County, KY, Hydrologic Unit 05100205, on right bank at Lock 6, 1.5 miles upstream from Clear Creek, 2.1 miles east of Salvisa, and at mile 96.2. Auxiliary gage: Kentucky River at Lock 5 near Tyrone upper gage and at mile 82.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 5,102 mi² of which 101 mi² probably is noncontributing.

Prior to November 1934, nonrecording gage at same site and datum. Auxiliary water-stage recorder with telemetry at Lock 5, 14 miles downstream. Prior to September 30, 1981, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.
