LOCATION - Lat 40°44'47", long 86°22'39" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.35, T.27 N., R.1 E., Cass County, IN, Hydrologic Unit 05120105, on downstream guard rail of Cicott Street bridge, 150 ft north of Cicott Street and W. Cliff Dr. intersection. 1,400 ft downstream from Eel River, 0.85 mi upstream of U.S. Highway 35, and at mile 353.7.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3,779 mi². drainage area derived from the "Drainage Areas of Indiana Streams" publication

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum stage known, 25.3 ft March 26, 1913, from floodmarks, discharge, 140,000 ft³/s.
