LOCATION - Lat 39°47'19.2", long 86°11'53.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.33, T.16 N., R.3 E., Marion County, IN, Hydrologic Unit 05120201, on the downstream side of 16th Street bridge.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,293 mi². determined using StreamStats version 4.1.2 and corrected by +5 mi² based on the drainage area reported at CO#27 (WHITE RIVER ABOVE FALL CREEK) under Marion County in the "Drainage Areas of Indiana Streams" publication. (Hoggatt 1975)
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 2017 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 675.94 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Dec. 29, 2020, at datum 7.00 ft higher.
REMARKS - Water is diverted near the Broad Ripple area through a canal which is then discharged again downstream of 16th street.  During periods of low flow in particular, discharge at this site may be less than that of the upstream site (03351000).
