LOCATION - Lat 39°49'20", long 86°18'13" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.22, T.16 N., R.2 E., Marion County, IN, Hydrologic Unit 05120201, in outlet structure of reservoir on Eagle Creek, 800 ft upstream from Interstate Highway 74, 0.5 mi downstream from School Branch, 1.0 mi northeast of Clermont, and 2 mi west of Indianapolis.
DRAINAGE AREA - 162 mi². from the "Drainage Areas of Indiana Streams" publication (Hoggatt, 1975)
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1970 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder.  Datum of gage is 0.00 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.  The gage datum to North American Vertical Datum is -0.39 ft.
COOPERATION - Citizens Energy Group.
REMARKS - Reservoir is formed by earth-fill dam. Low flow is controlled through a 48-inch diameter conduit. Spillway elevation, 783 ft is an ogee section with 6 taintor gates, each 40 ft wide and 25 ft high. Permanent pool capacity is 24,000 acre-ft, elevation, 790.00 ft. Reservoir is used for flood control, low-flow maintenance and recreation. Reservoir put into operation Nov. 27, 1969.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum contents, 30,940 acre-ft May 11, 2003 and April 19-20, 2013, elevation, 794.84 ft; minimum, 11,390 acre-ft Nov. 17-18, 1991, elevation, 778.70 ft.
