LOCATION - Lat 39°20'21", long 85°59'11" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.4, T.10 N., R.5 E., Bartholomew County, IN, Hydrologic Unit 05120204, on downstream side of Hendricks Ford Road bridge, 0.8 mi downstream from confluence of Big Blue River and Sugar Creek, 1.5 mi southwest of Edinburgh, and at mile 14.1.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,060 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 2109: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1941 to September 1990, January 20, 2011 to September 30, 2011. Prior to July 1941 monthly discharge only, published in WSP 1305. Prior to October 1977, published as "near Edinburg".
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 636.59 ft above NAVD of 1988. Formerly published as 636.99 ft above NGVD of 1929, by levels of the Hurd Engineering Co. from USC and GS benchmark K-9 at St. Louis, IN., in 1941. Prior to Oct. 7, 1941, non-recording gage on left bank at same datum.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of March 1913 reached a stage of 20.3 ft, information from local residents; flood in June 2008 reached a stage of 17.28 ft, from floodmark, discharge not determined.
