LOCATION - Lat 36°11'10", long 85°54'16" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Smith County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 05130108, on right upstream side of Dr. Thayer S. Wilson Bridge (Stonewall) on State Hwy 264 at river mile 11.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 2,520 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 2011 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform and pressure sensor gage.

Datum of gage is 449.99 ft above NAVD of 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000) GEOID18).

Prior to March 29, 2024, the datum of gage was 450.00 ft NAVD88.  Reason for update is the gage was incorrectly coded in the Monitoring Location Registry (MLR) as "Obtained from Topographic Map" (M).  

Prior to 2011 Gage was serviced by USACE.

REMARKS - Flow is regulated by Center Hill Lake Dam located 15.6 miles upstream since Nov. 1948.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 35,100 ft³/s, Feb. 6, 2020, gage height, 30.21 ft, maximum gage height, 34.63 ft, Mar. 28, 2021. Minimum daily mean discharge, 272 ft³/s, Oct. 14, 2019.
