LOCATION - Lat 35°55'06", long 86°20'02" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Rutherford County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 05130203, on downstream side of Betty Ford Rd. bridge, 2.5 mi southwest of Lascassas, 3.7 mi downstream from Bradley Creek, 6.0 mi northeast of the courthouse in Murfreesboro, and at mile 15.4.
DRAINAGE AREA - 262 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1910: Drainage Area. WDR-TN-75-1: 1955(M), 1963(M), 1970(M), 1973 (M)(P).
PERIOD OF RECORD - Prior to Feb. 1951 monthly discharge only, published in WSP 1726. Stage-discharge record, Oct. 1950 to Nov. 1958; May 1963 to Sept. 1991. Crest-stage partial record, Oct. 1991 to Sept. 2000. Stage-discharge record, Oct. 2000 to Sept. 2008; Jun. 2012 to present
GAGE - Data collection platform. Datum of gage is 507.63 ft, NAVD88 (GEOID12B).  Gage was located 100 ft. upstream, Oct. 1, 1973 to Apr. 23, 2015.
REMARKS - Records good except for estimated discharges which are poor and other periods as noted. Records fair: Sept. 30, 2008 to Sept. 30, 2014, Nov. 7, 2017, Dec. 23, 2017. Frequent diurnal fluctuation at low flow caused by small mills above station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 34,900 ft³/s, March 13, 1975, gage height 39.48 ft.; minimum discharge, 0.20 ft³/s October 23, 1953.
