LOCATION - Lat 36°09'04.20", long 86°51'15.38" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Davidson County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 05130202, near right bank on downstream end of pier of Charlotte Avenue bridge on U.S. Highway 70, 4.0 mi southwest of the State Capitol in Nashville, and at mile 3.7.
DRAINAGE AREA - 24.3 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1964 to September 1990, August 1993 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform and peak indicator gage.  Datum of gage is 409.44 ft above NAVD of 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000) GEOID18). 

Prior to April 24, 2024, the datum of gage was 409.29 ft NAVD of 1988.

Prior to April 2012, the datum of the gage was 409.56 ft above NGVD of 1929, supplemental adjustment of 1960, as determined by levels run July 17, 1964, from U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey Benchmark No. K 220 (RM 1) with an elevation of 428.136 ft datum of 1929, supplemental adjustment of 1960.

COOPERATION - Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee.
REMARKS - Diversions above station used for irrigation of golf courses.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 16,900 ft³/s, May 2, 2010, gage height, 19.99 ft; minimum daily discharge, 0.05 ft³/s Oct. 8, 1980.
