03432350 HARPETH RIVER AT FRANKLIN, TN
LOCATION - Lat 35°55'14.71", long 86°51'55.79" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Williamson County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 05130204, on left bank 15 ft downstream from State Highway 96 bridge, 0.4 mi southeast of the courthouse in Franklin, and at mile 88.1.
DRAINAGE AREA - 192 mi² of which 16 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - In March 2011, the maximum discharge for water year 1975 was revised and is documented in the report for 2010 http://wdr.water.usgs.gov/wy2010/pdfs/03432350.2010.pdf. On 5/17/2013, the daily mean discharge for 3/13/1975 was revised and is documented in the report for 2012 http://wdr.water.usgs.gov/wy2012/pdfs/03432350.2012.pdf.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1974 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform and crest-stage gage.  Datum of gage is 604.54 ft above NAVD of 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000) GEOID18). 

Prior to April 03, 2024, the datum of gage was 604.42 ft above NGVD 1929.  Determined from a topographic map.

COOPERATION - City of Franklin, Tennessee.
REMARKS - Discharges below 5 ft³/s and estimated daily discharges are rated poor. The Franklin Utility District diverts part of its municipal water supply from the river above the gage. This water along with other water is returned to the river through the sewage treatment plant 2.7 mi below gage.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 19,200 ft³/s, May 2, 2010; gage height, 35.32 ft, May 2, 2010; minimum daily, 0.30 ft³/s, October 14, 1980.
