0345577330 WEST FORK PIGEON RIVER NEAR RETREAT, NC
LOCATION - Lat 35°25'36", long 82°55'11" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Haywood County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 06010106, on right bank, 20 ft upstream of NC Hwy 215, 0.15 mi upstream from Little East Fork Pigeon River, and 1.6 mi SW of Retreat.
DRAINAGE AREA - 33.5 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WRD NC-04-1: 1990-1994 (annual maximum discharge), 1996 (annual maximum discharge).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1988 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform. Elevation of gage is 2,837.5 ft above NAVD of 1988. Satellite and telephone telemetry at station.
REMARKS -
Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally good except for estimated discharges, which are fair to poor.  Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-nc_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
 
Some low flow regulation, at times, caused by Lake Logan (station 03455773). 
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge from rating curve extended above 4,000 ft³/s on basis of computation of peak flow over dam at Lake Logan. Maximum gage-height from high-water mark at gage.
