LOCATION - Lat 35°39'52", long 83°42'41" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Blount County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 06010201, in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, on left bank along Tennessee Highway 73, 0.3 mi upstream from Rush Branch, 0.4 mi southeast of Park entrance, 2.2 mi southeast of Townsend, and at mile 35.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 106 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - 2007 - On August 28, 2012, stage and discharge records were revised for January 1-26, 2007. These data supersede data published in the report for 2007 (http://wdr.water.usgs.gov/wy2007/pdfs/03497300.2007.pdf)

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge 27,100 ft³/s, March 27, 1994, estimated from rating extended above 21,400 ft³/s., gage height of 15.75 ft. on March 27, 1994 was from flood mark in gage house. Minimum discharge, 15 ft³/s, October 16, 2007.
