LOCATION - Lat 35°48'31.52", long 83°55'36.03" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Blount County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 06010201, at Singleton Bend on left bank, 3.0 mi northeast of Alcoa, and at mile 9.7.
DRAINAGE AREA - 300 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1986 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform. Datum of gage is 813.794 ft above NAVD88.
REMARKS - Diurnal fluctuations at low flow caused by small mills above station. The town of Maryville diverts an average of about 4 ft³/s (2.6 MGD) for municipal supply 7.6 miles upstream from gage and the town of Alcoa at the gage, diverts about 17.2 ft³/s (11.1 MGD).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 29,300 ft³/s, February 7, 2020, gage height, 21.55 ft; minimum discharge 19 ft³/s, November 6, 2008.
