LOCATION - Lat 35°28'58.18", long 86°27'45.37" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Bedford County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 06040002, on right bank 125 ft upstream from U.S. Highway 231 bridge, one block west of the southwest corner of the public square, and at mile 221.4.
DRAINAGE AREA - 425 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Gage datum was revised to 690.37 ft NAVD88 (690.00 ft NGVD29) on Jul. 27, 2023. Gage datum was published in error as 679.998 ft NAVD88 after Mar. 29, 2016. Prior to Mar. 29, 2016, to Oct. 10, 1991, the datum was incorrectly published as 680.00 ft NGVD 1929, datum inadvertently lowered by 10.00ft.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1991 to current year, discharge for gage height of 11.31 ft and below only. Continuous stage records were collected by Tennessee Valley Authority from December 1981 to September 1991.
GAGE - Data collection platform and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 690.37 ft. above NAVD 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000), GEOID18). Prior to Oct. 10, 1991, at datum 10.00 ft higher.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Normandy Reservoir (station 03596460) since January 1976.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, not determined; maximum gage height, 40.53 ft, May 7, 2003; minimum discharge, 90 ft³/s, May 22, 2008; minimum daily discharge, 101 ft³/s, May 5, 6, and 23, 2008.
