04026390 BEARTRAP CREEK AT U.S. HIGHWAY 2 NEAR ASHLAND, WI
LOCATION - Lat 46°36'33", long 90°45'37" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.29, T.48 N., R.3 W., Ashland County, WI, Hydrologic Unit 04010301, located 50 feet upstream of US Highway 2 on the right edge of water. Datum of gage is 598.19 ft above sea level (NADV 88), Propeller Arepoint survey on 8/8/19 showed datum elevation of 598.17 ft NAVD 88 +- .11ft.
DRAINAGE AREA - 22.6 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 2007 to October 2019.  Stage-only Oct. 2019 to present.  
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 598.19 ft above NAVD of 1988, from Aeropoint survey.
REMARKS - Discharge records are poor. Gage Heights near or below 5.50 ft affected by backwater from Lake Superior. For records prior to October 1, 2013, see remarks printed in the annual water-data reports.
