LOCATION - Lat 43°32'40", long 88°14'44" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.32, T.13 N., R.19 E., Fond Du Lac County, WI, Hydrologic Unit 04040003,
DRAINAGE AREA - 56.6 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2011 to Sept. 30, 2015 (discontinued)
GAGE - Water stage recorder, temperature thermistor, and precipitation gage. Elevation of gage is 950 ft above NAVD of 1988 from topographic map.
COOPERATION - In cooperation with the Sand County Foundation.
REMARKS - Records are considered good except for estimated daily discharges which are poor and other periods as noted. For records status prior to October 1, 2013, see remarks printed in annual water-data reports.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 26, 2011 to Sept. 30, 2015 (non-frozen precipitation) (discontinued).
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping bucket rain gage with electronic datalogger.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily rainfall, 2.94 in., Apr. 13, 2014.
REMARKS - Data are recorded to the nearest minute in the datalogger. Rainfall estimated to be 0.00 on Nov. 29, Dec. 9, 21, Jan. 3, 17, 29, and Feb. 7-8, 12 because recorded precipitation was interpreted as collector snowmelt. Collector snowmelt was removed from the record. Daily values estimated for Dec. 1 - 4 and Aug. 28 - Sep.1 from 433615088202501 SCF W BR MILWAUKEE RIVER WATERWAY 3 NR ASHFORD, WI due to rain gage partially clogging with debris.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Equal-width increment samples collected roughly every three weeks and occasionally during storm-runoff events from August, 2011 to September, 2015.
REMARKS - Daily loads published in NWIS should be considered fair-poor, as the objectives of sample collection were to estimate seasonal and annual loads. Chemical analyses by the Water and Environmental Analysis Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
