LOCATION - Lat 42°16'27", long 85°34'35" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.22, T.2 S., R.11 W., Kalamazoo County, MI, Hydrologic Unit 04050003, on right upstream side of bridge on Reed Avenue in Kalamazoo, 1.5 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 46.8 mi².  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1947 to September 1958, June 1975 to September 1986, April 2018 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1307.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 760.85 ft above NAVD 88. Dec. 15, 1947, to Dec. 7, 1955, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.
REMARKS - Some regulation by millponds upstream of station. Flow includes water which is pumped from ground-water sources by industry and discharged into stream 5.0 mi upstream from station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 675 ft³/s, Sept. 3, 2018, gage height, 6.01 ft, from rating curve extended above 360 ft³/s; minimum discharge, 2.0 ft³/s, May 8, 1956.
