LOCATION - Lat 45°09'22", long 84°28'03" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.20, T.32 N., R.1 W., Otsego County, MI, Hydrologic Unit 04070004, on left bank at upstream side of Sturgeon Valley Road bridge, 9.7 mi east of Vanderbilt, 1.0 mi downstream from remains of Lansing Club Dam, and 28.5 mi upstream from Mullett Lake.
DRAINAGE AREA - 57.7 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1950 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 908.73 ft above NAVD 88, converted on July 9, 2020 from NGVD 29 (Wade-Trim Inc. bench mark). September 1950 to October 1990, water-stage recorder at site 2.5 mi downstream at different datum (Station 04129000).
REMARKS - Prior to May 16, 1957, and Apr. 22, 1958 to Sept. 11, 2014, regulation by Lansing Club Dam 1.0 mi upstream.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,500 ft³/s, May 15, 1957, from rating curve extended above 500 ft³/s, gage height 6.80 ft, from floodmark, result of failure of Lansing Club Dam, site and datum then in use; maximum gage height, 7.13 ft, Oct. 23, 2020; minimum discharge, 6.6 ft³/s, Sept. 16, 2003.
