LOCATION - Lat 43°00'54", long 84°10'48" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 sec.12, T.7 N., R.2 E., Shiawassee County, MI, Hydrologic Unit 04080203, on right bank on grounds of sewage-treatment plant, 1.5 mi north of Owosso.
DRAINAGE AREA - 538 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1931 to current year. Gage-height records for flood seasons collected in this vicinity 1904, 1910-30 are contained in reports of the National Weather Service.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 706.76 ft above NAVD 88, converted on July 9, 2020 from NGVD 29. Prior to Oct. 15, 1933, at site 1.5 mi upstream at datum 5.46 ft higher.
REMARKS - Flow regulated below approximately 800 ft³/s by power plant at Shiawasseetown prior to February 1953; occasional regulation at low stages since.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 6,240 ft³/s, Apr. 6, 1947, gage height, 10.35 ft; minimum discharge, 0.20 ft³/s, July 27, 1934.
