LOCATION - Lat 43°56'22", long 83°14'30" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.31, T.18 N., R.11 E., Huron County, MI, Hydrologic Unit 04080103, on right bank downstream side of bridge on Kinde Road, 1.5 mi east of Caseville, and 3.1 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 125 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1986 to September 1993, October 2014 to September 2019 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 578.43 ft above NAVD 1929. Prior to June 10, 1987, nonrecording gage at same datum.
REMARKS - At times, low flow is affected by pumpage for irrigation.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood in September 1986 reached a stage of 18.2 ft, from floodmark, and a discharge of 2,900 ft³/s, from indirect computation of discharge.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,260 ft³/s, Mar. 28, 1991, gage height, 13.20 ft, from floodmark; maximum gage height, 14.75 ft, Mar. 13, 1990, from graph based on gage readings. Minimum discharge, 0.00 ft³/s, July 12, 1987. No flow occurs most years.
