LOCATION - Lat 40°50'53", long 84°56'16" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.27, T.28 N., R.14 E., Adams County, IN, Hydrologic Unit 04100004, on left downstream side of bridge on U.S. Highway 27, 0.5 mi upstream from Holthouse Ditch, 1.3 mi north of Decatur, and at mile 29.1.
DRAINAGE AREA - 621 mi².

Discharge for the period on Dec. 19 - 29, 2022 was revised on Nov. 29, 2023 based on revisions to the US comparison site.  

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1946 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1307. Gage-height records collected at site 0.5 mi upstream January 1932 to November 1954, and at present site thereafter are contained in reports of National Weather Service.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder.  Datum of gage is 760.12 feet above the North American Vertical Datum of 1988.  Formerly 760.44 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.  Prior to July 27, 1948, non-recording gage at same site and datum.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Grand Lake. Slight diversion from or into Wabash River Basin and into Miami and Erie Canal.
