LOCATION - Lat 41°22'49", long 82°06'17" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Lorain County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 04110001, on left bank in Cascade Park at Elyria, 0.8 mi downstream from confluence of East and West Branches.
DRAINAGE AREA - 396 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1944 to current year. Records for May 1903 to July 1906 (published as "near Elyria") in WSP 97, 129, and 205, are unreliable and should not be used.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest stage gages. Datum of gage is 620.09 ft (NAVD 1988). Prior to October 2013, datum of gage was 620.83 ft (NGVD of 1929).
