LOCATION - Lat 43°10'33", long 77°31'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Monroe County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 04140101, on right bank 25 ft upstream from bridge on Empire Boulevard (Route 404), 200 ft upstream from mouth at south end of Irondequoit Bay, and 1.5 mi east of Rochester.
DRAINAGE AREA - 151 mi² of which 7.78 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous record--June 1990 to December 2002, gage height only--January 2003 to December 2010 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 242.66 ft above NGVD of 1929 (levels by Corps of Engineers).
REMARKS - Gage-height record represents Irondequoit Bay elevation. Unpublished gage-height record for March 1989 to December 2002 is available in files of U.S. Geological Survey. Unpublished water-quality records are available in files of Monroe County Department of Health.
