LOCATION - Lat 44°41'37", long 72°34'58" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Lamoille County, VT, Hydrologic Unit 04150405, at culvert, at VT 100, 500 ft upstream from mouth at Gihon River, 2.0 mi southwest of VT 100 and Belvidere Road (VT 118) intersection at Eden, 2.2 mi northeast of VT 100 and VT 100C intersection at North Hyde Park, and 6.2 mi northeast of Lower Main Street (VT 15) and VT 100C intersection in Johnson.
DRAINAGE AREA - 4.21 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Discharge records: June 1963 to September 1974. Peak Streamflow: Water years 1964 to 1974, 1999 to 2008, 2010 to current year.
GAGE - Crest stage gage. Elevation of gage is 895 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to water year 1999, water-stage recorder at site 20 ft downstream of VT 100 at different datum.
COOPERATION - Vermont Agency of Transportation.
REMARKS - A crest-stage gage is a device which will register the maximum stage occurring between inspections of the gage. The discharge is determined from the stage using indirect measurement techniques. The date of the maximum discharge is not always certain, but is usually determined by comparison with nearby continuous record stations, weather records, or local inquiry. Only the maximum discharge for each water year is given. Information of some lower floods may have been obtained, but is not published within. The years given in the period of record represent water years for which the annual maximum has been determined.
