LOCATION - Lat 46°10'21", long 97°00'37" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.07, T.131 N., R.50 W., Richland County, ND, Hydrologic Unit 09020105, on county road, 1.5 mi west of Mantador.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,540 mi² of which 380 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - DAILY DISCHARGE--March 1944 to September 1951, March 2010 to current year; water years 1952 to 1973, 1975 (annual peak discharge only).

PERIOD OF RECORD.--DAILY GAGE HEIGHT--March to July 2009, March 2010 to current year.
GAGE -

Water stage recorder. Datum of the gage is 951.14 feet above North American Vertical Datum 1988 (NAVD88).

Previous locations and datums are as follows:

March 20th, 1944, to November 2nd, 1949; staff gage established at bridge site located at 97º0'37.41"W, 46º10'21.84"N (WGS84) at a datum 47.46 feet higher.

November 3rd, 1949, to September 30th, 1951; wire-weight gage at original location at a datum 47.46 feet higher.

October 1st, 1951, to July 31st, 1975; Daily gage readings during high water periods for determination of annual peaks (stage and discharge). Crest-stage gage was installed in 1954 at original gage location at a datum 47.46 feet higher.

March 17th, 2009, to September 30th, 2022; water stage recorder with wire-weight gage at original location. Data were published in elevation in National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29).

October 1st, 2022, to present; water stage recorder with wire-weight gage at original location at current datum.

REMARKS -

Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good except for estimated discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood in the spring of 1943 reached a gage height of about 1,010.58 ft, present datum (12.8 ft, datum then in use), from floodmarks.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum peak flow, 4,730 ft³/s, March 22, 2010, peak stage, 1,009.15 ft. Maximum peak stage, 1,010.00 ft, March 24, 2009, discharge not determined.
