LOCATION - Lat 46°50'38.24", long 96°54'27.21" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.19, T.139 N., R.49 W., Cass County, ND, Hydrologic Unit 09020204,
DRAINAGE AREA - 8,870 mi² of which 5,780 mi² probably is noncontributing, including 3,800 mi² in closed basins.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -

Gage Height from April 1, 2023 through September 30, 2023.

Discharge from April 1, 2023 through September 30, 2023.

GAGE -

Gage consists of an OTT RLS (25 GHz) water level sensor, operated by a Campbell CR800 data collection platform (DCP) with a Siera Wireless cellular modem and battery.  The outside base reference gage is a wire-weight gage (WWG).  The gage and all instruments are mounted to the railing on the upstream side of the northbound Sheyenne Street bridge.

Datum of gage is 863.59 ft above North American Vertical Datum 1988 (NAVD88, survey done by USGS).

REMARKS -

Accuracy of records for the 2023 water year is good, except for estimated discharges, which are poor.

REGULATION.--Flow regulated to a large degree by Lake Ashtabula (station 05057500), 230 mi. upstream and by control gates 3,300 ft northeast.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,240 cfs, estimated on April 24, gage height, 38.14 ft; Minimum daily discharge, 0.00 cfs, multiple days.
