REMARKS -

These surface-water records are for the flood flows from the Park River that are diverted around Grafton, ND.  The streamgage was initially established on March 9, 2020 on the ND State Highway 81 bridge, which crosses the diversion channel just north of the town of Grafton, ND.

Accuracy of records for water years 2020 onward, including those of zero flow are good, except for discharges between 0-10 ft³/sec and estimated discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted.

REGULATION.--Flow of the Park River is partially regulated by Homme Reservoir in Park River, ND and several small reservoirs, while flow down the diversion channel is regulated by a control structure 3,630 ft upstream of the gage. Total capacity of Homme Reservoir - 6,700 acre-ft.
