LOCATION - Lat 48°22'14", long 101°34'11" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.02, T.156 N., R.85 W., Ward County, ND, Hydrologic Unit 09010002, on left bank 200 ft upstream from county highway bridge in Foxholm.
DRAINAGE AREA - 939 mi² of which 400 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1728: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - DAILY DISCHARGE--June 1904 to July 1906, October 1945 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1308.

Datum of the gage is 1,634.23feet above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) and 1,632.98 feet above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29).

REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good except for estimated discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted.

REGULATION.--Flow is affected by reservoirs of Des Lacs National Wildlife Refuge. Combined reservoir capacity is about 54,000 acre-ft.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum known stage prior to gage record was about 18.8 ft in Spring of 1939, from information by local residents.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum peak flow, 4,260 ft³/s, April 19, 1979, maximum peak stage, 21.23 ft, from high-water mark.
