PERIOD OF RECORD -

PEAK FLOW RECORD--Intermittent record from 1965-1977, 1987 to current year.

DAILY DISCHARGE--March 2023 to current year.

DAILY GAGE HEIGHT--APRIL 2023 to current year.

REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records good except for estimated discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD -

Contracted opening measurement, discharge 1,000 ft³/s, June 6, 1982, assumed stage 89.43 ft = 9.455 ft, gage datum using RM 1.

Discharge 26,300 ft³/s, August 10, 1962, from a slope-area measurement, made 2 mi upstream. Based on maximum discharges seen at downstream sites (example 05120000 Souris River Near Verendrye, ND had a peak of 1,380 ft³/s on August 12) indicates this discharge is highly suspect and is not published with the peak flows.
