LOCATION - Lat 45°05'36", long 93°11'42" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.17, T.30 N., R.23 W., Ramsey County, MN, Hydrologic Unit 07010206, on right bank 170 feet downstream from intersection of Co. Hwy. 77 (Old Highway 8) and Co. Rd. H in Mounds View, MN.
DRAINAGE AREA - 156 mi². approximately.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2008 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 860.74 ft above mean sea level (NAVD of 1988).
REMARKS - Some regulation possible from impoundments in Upper Rice Creek Watershed.

Records good to fair except those for estimated daily-mean discharges, which are poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Minimum discharge, 0.66 ft³/s, Mar. 5, 2013 (result of ice jam upstream).

This site was part of a statewide sediment study. The objectives of the study are to collect site specific data for streamflow, cross-sectional suspended sediment concentrations (SSC), point samples of SSC, turbidity, and water transparency at selected stream sites in Minnesota. This site had a continuous turbidimeter installed from September 2010 to November 2011,
