LOCATION - Lat 44°17'08", long 92°25'48" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.31, T.110 N., R.13 W., Wabasha County, MN, Hydrologic Unit 07040004, at Zumbro Falls, at Main St. bridge, 750 ft downstream from Cold Creek, 0.7 mile upstream from bridge on U.S. Highway 63, 6.3 miles downstream from confluence of North Fork,about 10.5 miles downstream from hydropower dam at Lake Zumbro, and approximately 45 miles upstream from mouth.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 53,000 ft³/s, Sept. 24, 2010, from indirect measurement of flow; gage height 35.82 ft, site then in use, from highwater marks. Same event produced peak stage as present gage location (bridge) of 25.03 ft.
