LOCATION - Lat 44°58'21", long 89°54'19" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.27, T.29 N., R.5 E., Marathon County, WI, Hydrologic Unit 07070002, on right bank 40 ft downstream from County Highway S bridge in Village of Rib Falls, WI, and 6 miles downstream from mouth of Black Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 303 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1438: 1926(M), 1927-30 1931-34(M), 1935, 1936-37(M), 1944(M), 1948-50(M).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1925 to September 1957, October 2009 to current year. Published as "Rib River" prior to October 2009.
GAGE - Water stage recorder and crest stage gage (station restarted October 1, 2009 at new datum). Datum of gage is 1,211.30 ft above NAVD 1988. Gage was discontinued in September 1957. Prior to September 1957, wire-weight gage read once daily, more frequently at high stages. Prior to July 12, 1954, wire-weight or chain gage on bridge 75 ft downstream at same datum.
