LOCATION - Lat 39°40'41.7", long 91°24'34.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.01, T.56 N., R.5 W., Ralls County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 07110004, at bridge on Industrial Drive, on right downstream bank, and 4.65 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 31 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct 1938 to Sep 1942, Oct 1947 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods published in WSP 1308. Oct 1936 to Nov 1938 (gage-height and discharge measurements only) in reports of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 508.47 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Mar 26, 1948, nonrecording gage; Mar 26, 1948, to Sep 30, 1953, water-stage recorder at datum 2.00 ft higher; Oct 1, 1953, to Oct 30, 1961, at present datum; Oct 31, 1961, to Sep 5, 1972, water-stage recorder 400 ft downstream at present datum; Sep 6, 1972, to Jul 2, 1986, water-stage recorder 525 ft upstream at present datum.
REMARKS - Accuracy of records is discussed in the annual Station Analysis archived at the USGS MO Water Science Center.  Flow mostly regulated by Bear Creek flood control reservoir, area of 545 acres, 1.0 mi upstream, since Aug 7, 1961.
