LOCATION - Lat 42°05'14", long 87°53'14" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.30, T.42 N., R.12 E., Cook County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07120004, in the center of the downstream side of the Euclid Road (Lake Avenue), 2.9 mi upstream of Des Plaines, and at mile 69.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 360 mi².

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - SURFACE-WATER DISCHARGE AND STAGE: Flood of July 4, 1938, reached a stage of 9.0 ft. site and datum then in use (19.0 ft. new datum), from floodmark, discharge, 5,000 ft³/s.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SURFACE-WATER DISCHARGE AND STAGE: Maximum discharge, 5,060 ft³/s, April 19, 2013, gage height, 20.93 ft, present datum; no flow many days in 1944, 1946 and August 7, 8, 1962.
