LOCATION - Lat 41°43'05", long 88°04'14" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.3, T.37 N., R.10 E., Will County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07120004, on downstream side of bridge on Royce Road, 0.5 mi north of Bolingbrook, 4.8 mi northwest of Lemont, and at mile 6.0.
DRAINAGE AREA - 75.8 mi².

GAGE - Water-stage recorder, satellite telemeter, and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 624.93 ft. above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Oct. 1, 1988, at datum 17.07 ft higher.
REMARKS - Diurnal fluctuation at low flow caused by sewage treatment plants upstream from station. Accuracy of records is discussed in the annual Station Analysis archived at the USGS IL Water Science Center.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SURFACE-WATER DISCHARGE AND STAGE: Maximum discharge, 5,070 ft³/s, April 18, 2013, gage height, 25.51 ft; minimum, 2.4 ft³/s, August 5, 1993.
