LOCATION - Lat 40°27'30", long 88°52'39" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.16, T.23 N., R.3 E., McLean County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07130009, on right bank at downstream side of bridge on 1200N Road (Ireland Grove Road), 1.5 miles east of Towanda-Barnes Road (County Road 29/1900E), about 700 ft. downstream from Kickapoo Creek Tributary and at mile 53.0.
DRAINAGE AREA - 14.8 mi².

GAGE - Water-stage recorder, telephone telemeter, automatic water sampler, water-quality monitor, and a crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 785.62 ft above NAVD of 1988. Temporary diversion about 30 feet upstream to lower water levels for sewer-line construction during summer of 2007. September 2008 to current, diversion to wetlands about 700 feet upstream. December 2008 to current, detention structure about 250 feet upstream to sustain water levels for wetlands.

SUSPENDED-SEDIMENT CONCENTRATIONS: Maximum daily, 3,910 mg/L, June 1, 2009; minimum daily, 5 mg/L, July 19-20, 2012. SUSPENDED-SEDIMENT LOADS: Maximum daily, 6,000 tons, June 1, 2009; minimum daily, 0.00 tons, Sept. 26-30, 2007, and several or many days in water years 2008, 2011-2013. WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 37.8oC, July 27, 2011; minimum, 0.0oC, several days in most years. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 1,180 uS/cm at 25oC, Feb. 19, 2007 and Mar. 27, 2014; minimum, 54 uS/cm at 25oC, July 9, 2015. DISSOLVED OXYGEN: Maximum, 21.4 mg/L, Apr. 11, 2014; minimum, 0.5 mg/L, Aug. 15, 2010. PH: Maximum, 9.1 standard units, Nov. 14, 2010; minimum, 6.6 standard units, Nov. 18 and Dec. 9, 2009.
