  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

GAGE - Water-stage recorder, satellite telemeter, water-quality monitor, and acoustic velocity meter. Datum of gage is 299.54 ft NAVD 1988. Oct. 1, 1909, to Dec. 31, 1912, and June 22, 1914, to Sept. 30, 1921, nonrecording gage at site 1.0 mi upstream at datum 359.50 ft. above NGVD of 1929. Jan. 18, 1935, to May 24, 1967, water-stage recorder at site 0.4 mi upstream at datum 359.50 ft. above NGVD of 1929. May 25, 1967, to May 18, 1970, nonrecording gage at site 0.9 mi upstream and at datum 359.50 ft. above NGVD of 1929. May 19, 1970, to Sept. 30, 1974, water-stage recorder 0.9 mi upstream and at datum 359.50 ft. above NGVD of 1929. Oct. 1, 1937, to Sept. 30, 1971, auxiliary nonrecording gage on Mississippi River near mouth of Kaskaskia River 41 mi downstream. A HACH Nitratax sensor for total nitrite plus nitrate nitrogen, a Hach Solitex turbidity sensor, and a YSI EXO 2 water-quality monitor with water temperature, specific conductance, pH, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity sensors, a Wetlabs Cycle Phosphorus sensor was installed.
REMARKS - Flow partially regulated since Apr. 1, 1967, by Carlyle Reservoir 65 mi above gage. Occasional regulation by navigation dam downstream at Roots. Accuracy of records is discussed in the annual Station Analysis archived at the USGS IL Water Science Center.
