LOCATION - Lat 47°37'42.99", long 112°51'56.74" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.26, T.22 N., R.10 W., Lewis and Clark County, MT, Hydrologic Unit 10030104, on left bank 0.5 mi upstream from confluence with North Fork of Sun River and 24 mi northwest of Augusta. Station formerly named South Fork of North Fork Sun River near Augusta.
DRAINAGE AREA - 251 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1911 to September 1912, May 2008 to October 2009 (seasonal record), and May 2014 to present.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation at site is 4,730 ft, referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. May 1911 to September 1912, nonrecording gage at different datum.
REMARKS - No regulation or diversion occurs upstream from station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of June 8, 1964 reached a discharge of 28,800 ft³/s, from slope-area measurement of peak flow.
