LOCATION - Lat 49°13'57", long 109°33'27" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, UNSPECIFIED, Hydrologic Unit is unknown, third meridian, Hydrologic Unit 10050008, on left bank 0.8 mi downstream from headgate on Battle Creek, and 5.9 mi south of Consul.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1961 to current season (seasonal records only). Data for 1912, 1914-35, and 1938 to current season are published in reports of the Department of the Environment, Canada. Prior to March 1950, only estimates of seasonal diversions are available for many seasons. Prior to Mar. 1, 1971, the site was published as "Stirling and Nash Ditch."
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Prior to Sept. 21, 1949, water-stage recorder at present site or nonrecording gages at site 0.5 mi downstream at different elevations.
COOPERATION - This is one of a number of stations which are maintained jointly by Canada and the United States.
REMARKS - Ditch diverts water from left bank of Battle Creek in SW1/4 sec.27, T.3, R.27 W., third meridian, for irrigation along Battle Creek.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 85 ft³/s, Apr. 14, 1952; no flow at times each season.
